The Covid-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions have created a perfect storm of challenges for the tech sector around the globe. Supply chain issues persist in many sectors, inflation has bitten deep into consumer and corporate spending and global stock markets have become a rollercoaster.
Nevertheless, these challenges have created opportunities for many high-tech entrepreneurs savvy enough to stay focused and positive and to learn from setbacks and mistakes. Based on my experience during some of these turbulent times, here are five recommendations for managing during the current economic climate.
Don’t panic.
This is the most important piece of advice I have to share. Panicking is never a good idea in any situation, especially in a crisis situation. Leaders must stay calm through the natural urge to fight or flee, which can cloud our ability to think rationally and make smart business decisions.
