Assess Multi-Cloud Security with the Open-Source CNAPPgoat Project
New open-source CNAPPgoat project helps organizations assess multi-cloud security and their tools
HelpNet recently shared about our new open-source project called CNAPPgoat, designed to help organizations test their cloud security skills and processes effectively. The project provides interactive sandbox environments that can be easily set up and destroyed, supporting AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms. Unlike other projects that demonstrate attack paths, CNAPPgoat offers a diverse library of scenarios that allow security teams to customize a vulnerable cloud environment and assess their defenses. It serves various purposes, including security posture assessment, hands-on training for team members, testing pentesters' skills, and evaluating CNAPP tools against known environments. The project covers different risk categories, such as Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM), Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), and will soon include Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scanning.
