Stronger Together: Writing a New Chapter in Cloud Security
We’re excited to share that Tenable has announced intent to acquire Ermetic.

Today is a very exciting day for Ermetic - for me personally, and for the entire company. Just over 4 years ago, we founded a startup to create innovative solutions for the newest and most pressing issues in cloud native security. Today, I am proud to say we are joining forces with Tenable , a pillar of the security industry, trusted by tens of thousands of companies around the world for over 20 years. I truly believe there’s no limit to what we can accomplish together.
From our first meeting, it was clear that the Tenable team shared our conviction that identity is the most critical attack surface in cloud native applications, and the most important one to address. Since we started the company, from incident to incident, we’ve seen that identity is always a major factor - in no small part because cloud identities and entitlements are so difficult to untangle and secure. In 2020, we launched our pioneering CIEM platform to tackle this issue, followed by our CNAPP platform, which enables us to provide customers with contextual, prioritized risk analysis along with fast, accurate remediation across the cloud stack.
But this is only the first step on a long journey. Most organizations today are hybrid on-premise/cloud, and both the cloud platforms and the threat landscape are constantly evolving. It takes a strong team, and a strong organization to tackle these challenges and build a solution that customers can rely on in the long term. I believe that Tenable One is such a platform, synthesizing data and insights from across the enterprise to provide a level of visibility and risk mitigation that no vendor can match.
Together, Tenable One and Ermetic will deliver comprehensive context beyond the public cloud. And we will help customers protect the entire attack surface, resulting in the most powerful solution available today for both cloud native and hybrid environments. As Tenable intensifies their focus on cloud security, we have an opportunity to put our solution into the hands of thousands of new customers. I couldn’t be more excited to start this next chapter.
The past 4 years have been an unusual time from every perspective. We launched our product during the first COVID lockdowns. Due to travel restrictions, we met some of our teammates for the first time many months after they joined. We witnessed a massive wave of cloud migration, alongside major economic swings. We participated in the birth and growth of two new cloud security categories. It’s been an amazing ride and I’ve learned a great deal along the way.
Now for some thanks: to our customers and partners for putting their faith in Ermetic - today, and as we continue this journey together. Thanks to my co-founders Arick Goomanovsky, Michael Dolinsky and Sivan Krigsman for their partnership over the past 4 years. A standing ovation to the Ermetic team for the commitment, inspiration and innovation that led to the product and company we are today - I look forward to continuing our mission of building cloud native security solutions that move the needle.
