"Enterprises are struggling with a swelling number of cloud identities, credentials sprawl and privilege creep," he wrote. "Gartner has sounded the alarm: by 2023, 75% of cloud security failures will result from inadequate management of identities, access and privileges."
In the article, Arick presents the four pillars of entitlement: entities, identities, permissions and resources. He then explains how entitlements can be granted to identities in a number of ways that generally leads to permissions sprawl, and how to reign them in.
