For his latest Forbes Technology Council article, Ermetic co-founder and CEO Shai Morag takes a look at cloud-native application protection platforms (CNAPP) and their potential to revolutionize security.

While revolutionizing business and IT, use of the cloud has also made infrastructure security exponentially more complex. According to Morag, integrating a wide range of tools at various stages to eliminate security gaps in applications and the platforms they run on is at the center of the problem.

And this is where CNAPP comes in, to take aim at this challenge. "They shift the focus by taking an integrated, lifecycle security and compliance approach to protecting workloads and applications," wrote Morag. "The concept, introduced by research and advisory firm Gartner, Inc., is attracting growing attention. That’s because CNAPP has the potential to revolutionize security."
