Secure Cloud Migration: Beware Identity Failures and Misconfigurations

According to Gartner, worldwide public cloud services market grew 40.7% in 2020. In the rush to spin up clouds or introduce solutions over the last two years, many businesses skipped over crucial steps and failed to use a strategic framework. Until now, security mostly translated to organizations leveraging cloud access security brokers (CASB) to secure end-user access to SaaS applications like Salesforce.com and Microsoft Outlook 365. Recently, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools have emerged and are being used to detect misconfigurations (e.g. publicly exposed databases).
