HIPAA Journal takes a closer look at our recent IDC Cloud Security Survey and the impact on the healthcare industry where more and more organizations are completing their digital transformations. While they are able to take advantage of the flexibility, scalability, and cost savings provided by public cloud environments, healthcare organizations see that securing public clouds can be a major challenge.
For the healthcare industry, our survey confirmed that excessive permissions are a major problem. In fact, 31.25% of the healthcare organizations surveyed said they had identified a situation where employees had been given excessive permissions.
