Despite the varied challenges of keeping cloud infrastructure secure, VentureBeat posits that cybersecurity has actually evolved into one of the advantages of migrating to public cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). VentureBeat spoke to leaders from 10 cybersecurity startups and asked them to share their perspectives on the state of AWS cloud security and five of the AWS cloud security issues that their startups are aiming to fix.

These are the “ultimate privileged users — people who can literally do anything in your cloud,” he said.

And this is ok in the beginning. “But the problem is that these identities generally roll over into production where they represent a very high risk,” said Morag.

Find out what the others had to say about visibility and detection, complexity and the skills gap, ‘shared responsibility’ confusion, and the overall mindset.
