Head Bookkeeping and Payroll Manager

Ermetic is looking to hire an experienced bookkeeper and payroll accountant to build the financial infrastructure for an amazing hyper-growth cloud security start-up.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, can manage projects (e.g. the implementation of a finance system), is a multi-tasker, and is a demonstrated team player with the potential for or proven experience in managing a team of bookkeepers. You will be building all the initial internal finance processes in-house.

Job Description

  • Manage our bookkeeper’s tasks globally, and advise on professional issues
  • Implement Netsuite (a new financial system) and take responsibility for all tasks (currently outsourced)
  • Close BS and P&L monthly reports, globally
  • Assist with budget preparation, analysis worksheets and supporting accounting needs
  • Comply with Israeli authorities and manage all relevant periodic reporting
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card statements and other accounts
  • Monitor employee travel expenses
  • Prepare non-deductible expenses (“odfot”) for tax reports, 856, 126
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation
  • Review and analyze salary and social contributions reports
  • Automate and improve workflow processes to allow efficiency

Requirements

  • Certified Bookkeeper, type 3 with payroll courses qualification
  • Qualified certified payroll accountant
  • 5+ years of proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in a Hi-Tech or international company.
  • Experience in local payroll accounting and well versed in issues such as income tax, labor laws, social benefits, pension contributions, and social security.
  • Proven ability to calculate, manage and post accounting figures and financial records to trial balance level
  • Management Experience – Preferably
  • Fluent English (both verbal and written)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to details
  • Hands-on character, independent, and devoted
  • Ability to work in a team and be a team player
  • Experience with Hilan software – a significant advantage
  • Experience with NetSuite – a significant advantage
